D. Yeast, MD, FACOG
Director, Women's Care Clinic
Saint Lukes Hospital of Kansas City
The Women's Care Clinic provides prenatal care for approximately one
thousand pregnant women per year at two clinics, the main office on Saint
Luke's main campus and at the Cabot Westside Health Clinic. Prenatal care is
delivered by both obstetric residents and nurse practitioners with attending
supervision in both facilities. Because patients often see different providers
with each visit and access to the prenatal records became problematic
at times, Dr. John Yeast sought a solution that both solved the problem
of missing prenatal records and ensured consistent care for every patient.
Dr. Yeast immediately recognized the value of eNATAL and has championed
its use at the Women's Care Clinic.
Here's what Dr. Yeast has to say about eNATAL.
"Our Women's Care Clinic initiated the eNATAL records system several
months ago. We chose this system due to its ease of use and the intuitive
nature of entering data and using the various windows to track prenatal
care. The learning curve for the staff was short, and patients seem to
feel comfortable that their records are being entered into a data system
that will always be available at the hospital."
"I would certainly recommend this system to anyone engaged in prenatal
care, and I feel it will significantly improve availability of records
for the labor and delivery staff."
