DESCRIPTION
Gestate is a calculator for use by animal breeders, animal exhibitors, veterinarians, zoo keepers and everyone who needs to estimate birthing/whelping dates and gestational ages for any animal from breeding dates. Gestate includes default gestation periods for almost fifty common animals and these gestation periods can be adjusted for each animal to accommodate gestation period variations among breeds and species.

To use Gestate, simply choose an animal from a list which automatically enters a gestation period, or choose any gestation period from 14 to 700 days for a "custom" animal. Then, enter the breeding date and Gestate will calculate the estimated birthing date and display the gestational age as the number of days since breeding and the number of days remaining based on the current date. At any time, the animal, breeding or birthing dates, or the gestation period can be easily changed and all of the other information is instantly updated.
